Everything I need to know I learned riding dirt bikes

Part I   Introduction

I need to make this clear right up front.   I am not a life coach.   I don’t have a 12 step plan to self actualization.   My musings won’t help you pick up women.  I can’t help you lose 40 pounds.   If you are looking for help with addictions, you should stop reading now, as I have an incurable dependence on things with 2 wheels.  What I do have to share are deep thoughts that have formed while bouncing around inside my helmet during countless hours of trail riding.

Many years ago I received a degree in mechanical engineering.   In mechanical systems we were constantly exposed to the analogous electrical systems.   For example, fluid flow can be modeled with many of the same principles used in electrical circuit design.   Vibration of mechanical components can use the same formulas for harmonic frequencies in circuits.   Having been a trail rider since shortly after dirt was invented, it is obvious (to the most casual of observers) that there are many parallels between riding dirt bikes and living a willful and happy life.
